Nuclear Heroes United Wins Award at Beijing International Film Festival

Recently, “Gaming·Animation·Film” of the 15th Beijing International Film Festival announced its awards. The public welfare animated film Nuclear Heroes United, jointly produced by China National Nuclear Corporation and Qinshan Nuclear Power Co., Ltd., focuses on peak carbon emissions and carbon neutrality initiative, and won the “Best Animation Production Team Award”. This festival received 634 entries from over 100 organizations nationwide. A panel of experts from China’s animation industry and academia were invited to evaluate the entries, selecting 60 finalists. After rigorous reviews and voting by the expert committee, the panel selected one best popular animation, one best animation production team, one best visual animation, one best AI animation, one best creative animation, five outstanding short films and 15 excellent short films. As China’s first animated film in the nuclear energy sector, Nuclear Heroes United focuses on biodiversity to respond to the the peak carbon emissions and carbon neutrality initiative. Through its captivating storyline and vibrant character designs, the film highlights nuclear energy’s safe, high-efficiency and clean advantages, helps the young better understand nuclear technologies and promotes sustainable and green development. Based on the “Dual-C Mascot Squad” IP of China National Nuclear Corporation, the film tells the story that Qin Yulu-led “Nuclear Spirit Team” joins forces with human teenager He Xiaoguang to embark on a thrilling adventure to stop the villainous “Carbon Demon” from destroying the world on a futuristic low-carbon planet called Carbonis. |
