Since last year, Haiyan has been fully advancing the public welfare film screening reform by introducing smart digital servers and high-quality films each weekend to integrated villages (communities) to create conditions for the residents to appreciate free moves on their doorsteps. Last weekend, the movie New Gods: Nezha Reborn was screened as scheduled in the CPC Service Center for the Public of Haiwan Community in the Economic Development Zone of Haiyan. Over 30 residents enjoyed the film. Last year, this community was selected as one of Jiaxing’s first digital film screening spots whose projectors were offered free of charge, and now it is the first “community-based weekend cinema” of the county. With China Film Group’s smart digital servers and professional audio equipment and screens, this “weekend cinema” delivers more realistic special effects and better viewing experiences to residents. Additionally, the community selects dozens of films each month, and invites the residents to choose via WeChat four to five films they like most to further meet their needs. As Zhejiang’s only pilot county for the basic public services reform and one of the first demonstration counties for rural culture hall construction, Haiyan has worked hard to meet the residents’ needs of watching high-quality movies in recent years, established multi-scenario and multi-mode movie supply mechanisms, advanced the public welfare film screening reform, and built the service brand “Welcome to Weekend Cinema of Zhejiang to Enjoy Public Welfare Films”. Based on original 119 film screening sites, the county has prioritized the construction of 12 “weekend cinemas” in Haiwan Community, Wusheng Village and Xueshuigang Village to fully leverage the educational roles of culture and public welfare films. |
