China Green Food Development Center (CGFDC) recently announced the inclusion of Haiyan grapes in the 2024 second batch of the National Agricultural Products Memory Index. This index is designed to promote the development of unique rural industries, highlighting the distinctive agricultural culture, local specialties, and farming resources of villages. It aims to meet the public's interest in experiencing and preserving agricultural products while establishing a brand reputation for regional agricultural specialties. Haiyan boasts a long tradition of grape cultivation, dating back 800 years, with commercial-scale development commencing in the 1980s. Today, varieties such as Shine Muscat, Red Globe, Summer Black, Drunken Golden Fragrance, and Fujiminori contribute to a vibrant cultivation landscape. Grape farming in Haiyan, primarily located in Yucheng Town and Wanghai Sub-district, is a key product driving local agricultural prosperity. In recent years, Haiyan has capitalized on its natural ecological benefits to develop the "Haiyan Grapes" regional brand, implement a "518" standardized production system, and encourage high-quality cultivation among farmers. By securing green food certification, Haiyan has enhanced both the quality and market recognition of its grapes. |
