Haiyan Economic Development Zone was established in 1992 and was approved as a provincial economic development zone in 1994.Its new zone at Hangzhou Bay Bridge started to construct in 2003, with a total planned area of 34.7 square kilometers including 9 square kilometers of Haiyan Port Area, is a key provincial economic development zone in Zhejiang.Its LED Industrial Park at Hangzhou Bay & Port Industrial Park are key carriers of high-tech and port industries in Haiyan county.LED Industrial Park was planned to cover an area of 1000 mu at the preliminary stage, including LED wafer, chip, packaging, application and living zone. Making full use of the good traffic conditons of Haiyan Economic Development Zone, the park will focus on upstream business of LED industry, highlight the advantages of LED wafer and chip development, pro-actively develop packaging, applications and other downstream industries to form a complete industrial chain of LED production. Following the requirement of being advanced, open, green and leisure, Port industrial park will focus on the development of port logistics industry, port industry, and modern service industry, aiming at accelerating the construction of Seashore New City.
