In the first five months of this year, Haiyan’ s core manufacturing industry of the digital economy ranked first in Jiaxing in terms of growth rate due to its technological innovation and releases of production capacity in intelligent equipment manufacturing and 5G communications. Haiyan is accelerating its intelligent and top-end transformation of industrial structures.

The core industry of digital economy refers to economic activities that provide digital technologies, products, services, infrastructures and solutions for industrial digitalization, as well as those entirely reliant on digital technologies and elements. The core industry of digital economy encompasses digital product manufacturing and services, digital technology applications, and digital elements-driven industries, according to the “Statistical Classification of Digital Economy and Its Core Industries 2021”.

In recent years, the county has vigorously constructed major digital economy platforms. Led by such industry giants as Amphenol Airwave (Haiyan), Amphenol JET and Shanghai Liangxin Electrical Co., Ltd. (LAZZEN), Economic Development Zone of Haiyan has achieved rapid development in 5G communications, electronic information technologies, instruments and apparatus manufacturing, etc.

In 2019, LAZZEN launched its “future-oriented factory” project, and has established the intelligent production base in Economic Development Zone of Haiyan. The base was put into operation in October 2022, and then LAZZEN moved its production base gradually from Shanghai to Haiyan. By the end of 2024, the relocation was completed, and its production capacity was fully utilized. In new energy applications such as photovoltaics and energy storage, LAZZEN’s products take the lead thanks to their adaptability to high-voltage and harsh environments.

In the workshop of Yupont Power Intelligent Equipment (Jiaxing) Co., Ltd., you can find all production lines working at full capacity. Established in 2018, this company is a wholly-owned subsidiary and the manufacturing base of Yupont Power Technology (Beijing) Co., Ltd. Its products range from smart single-phase electricity meters, three-phase electricity meters, charging & swapping devices, unmanned aerial vehicles and master station systems to relevant software development and services.

In recent years, Haiyan has continuously deepened green and digital transformation of its manufacturing sector. Through “intelligent technological upgrades plus ‘lightweight’ transformation”, it has categorically promoted intelligent and digital technological upgrades among manufacturing enterprises, and encouraged them to increase investment, and adopt new technologies, processes and equipment for intelligent upgrading. In addition, it has established a tiered cultivation path for enterprises: from digital workshops to smart factories and then to future-oriented factories, to enhance intelligent manufacturing.
