In Qinshan, you can hear happy laughter echoing from Rainbow Slide and family amusement parks, find vintage motorcycles running in the pastoral landscapes, which creates a distinctive charm, and enjoy hand-brewed coffee aroma in bamboo groves. When traditional countryside meets innovative businesses, a vibrant development panorama unfolds. Recently, Qinshan has tapped its ecological and cultural resources, and built “coffee plus” and “ paradise plus” models to inject energy into rural development and drive integrated development of agriculture, culture, and tourism. Beautiful rural scenery booms urban family travels. In Wenxiwu, asphalt roads meander past white-walled and black-tiled houses, and babbling brooks flow around scenic spots like Mabi Spring and Yinma Mountain. Along the riverbank, the scent of barbecue attracts visitors to the bustling Rainbow Valley Park full of children’s playful shouts. The Park’s star attraction is its glass slide rafting, the first mountain-based amusement project in Jiaxing. Like a silver serpent, this 2,000-meter transparent slide snakes through the forest and drops abruptly from a height of 30 meters, creating an stunning experience for visitors. Before its opening, the Park underwent comprehensive upgrading, for example, a valley cafe and a pet interaction zone had been constructed, and trackless sightseeing trains had been introduced. Motorcycle Cafe: an ideal pit stop for riders At the foot of Yinma Mountain in Wenxiwu, the rumble of motorcycles can often be heard before they halt outside Auntie Motorcycle Cafe, inside which, vintage helmets, leather gloves, etc. adorn every corner, telling riders’ stories. What catches people’s eye most is undoubtedly the retro motorcycle with a metallic luster in the center of the Cafe. In the afternoon the Cafe harmonizes motorcycles’ rumbles, birdsong, leaves’ rustling and riders’ conversations. Since this spring, weekends have witnessed increasing crowds, with daily visits peaking at 300 during the May Day holiday. Heavy with fragrance of coffee, the bamboo grove is a venue for slow life. Deep in the emerald bamboo forest of Huangjia Mountain in Fengshan Village, the rustling of bamboo leaves mingles harmoniously with the hum of coffee machines. Young visitors stroll along the asphalt path toward “Under Bamboo” Cafe nestling snugly amid the bamboos. “When I stumbled upon these bamboo hammocks online, I was lured by its tranquil scene immediately, and then I made a plan to enjoy the “‘afternoon tea’ in the bamboo grove with friends,” said Ms. Wang, a tourist with a camera in her hand. This bamboo grove actually is a natural cafe. Handwoven swings are hung between bamboo stalks; hammocks dot the grove here and there; fine mist from sprayers rises to interplay with sunlight, creating an ethereal ambiance. “Coffee is no longer exclusive to urban residents; people are eager to relax themselves in the natural environment. ‘Under Bamboo’ was born for guests to enjoy slow life amid fresh bamboo scent. During our business visit, this bamboo grove captured our attention instantly,” commented Yang Zhougen, general manager of Rural Tourism Company of Haiyan. In addition, Mr. Yang has integrated urban specialty coffee culture and rural resources, and collaborated with Fengshan Tea Factory to develop a cold-brewed tea product, which yields a crisp and lingering aftertaste when tea’s delicate aroma is released. “Next, we’ll launch bamboo-tube tea gift sets to turn local specialties into portable and ornamental souvenirs,” added Mr. Yang. The sunlight blazes beyond the bamboo grove, but it is cool within. Lying in a bamboo chair, and sipping coffee or tea, you will savor the harmony of rich coffee and delicate tea fragrance drifting through the bamboo grove. Qinshan is beckoning to you.
