Recently, a unique tea culture exchange event was held in Fengyi Village, Tongyuan Town, where 20 international guests were invited to experience local tea culture.

With the theme “Tongyuan’s Tea, World’s Fragrance”, this event attracted over 20 participants from the U.S., U.K., Italy and seven other countries. Each with a bamboo basket, they ventured into tea fields to experience tea-picking and tea-making processing under the guidance of local tea masters. Although they were clumsy at the very beginning, they reveled in fragrant tea and picturesque landscapes.

Colin from the U.S. shared his excitement, “This is my first time to pick and roast tea. The tea park is beautiful; green tea buds look so alive; intense tea aroma during roasting is unforgettable!” He added he would share his experience with family and friends to make them know better Chinese tea culture and rural development.

Inspired by their experience, those guests co-designed Fengyi Tea’s packaging blending eastern and global aesthetic characteristics. With a good location and fertile soil and premium tea products, Tongyuan organized the event to elevate Fengyi Tea’s global profile through international influencers.
