Recently, the production team of “Joyful New Countryside”, a program under China Central Television’s (CCTV’s) Agriculture and Rural Channel, visited Haiyan to film local cultural and natural landscapes like Ancient Ganpu Town, South-north Lake, Zhujiamen and Sea Watching Garden.

Themed on “Four-People Spring Outing”, the first episode recorded the  immersive tour to the Ancient Ganpu Town and South-north Lake. The crew first visited New Century Senbo Resort in Ganpu, where the crew experienced indoor surfing and white-water rafting under the staff’s guidance.

The Resort’s “year-round indoor water park” with over 30 attractions like thrilling indoor surfing, and now has become a favorite for locals and the tourists from other regions since it defies weather constraints, deeply impressing the crew.

The “Joyful New Countryside” is a travel-experience variety show. This year it has launched “Spring Outing Series”, through which hosts and guests explore tourist destinations in the form of activities, games and performances to showcase China’s evolving rural and urban development, entertainment modes and lifestyle. It airs on CCTV’s “Agriculture and Rural Channel” every Friday at 8:15 PM, with simultaneous broadcasts on CCTV’s digital platforms.
