Not long ago, the 28th Grape-centered Seminar of the Grape Branch of Chinese Agricultural Society was held, during which National Quality Grape Evaluation Meeting was held and the grapes “Romantic Beauty” and “Beauty Finger” planted by Haiyan won a gold prize of National Fresh and Quality Grape Evaluation, and the grape “Sunshine Rose” won a quality prize, which once again demonstrates the high quality of “Haiyan Grape”.

The prize of the National Fresh and Quality Grape Evaluation is the highest prize in the grape field, including gold prizes and quality prizes. Winning such prizes is a recognition of grape quality and an affirmation of grape planting technology and industrial development quality.

Grown by Putaoxiang Family Farm of Haiyan, the grape “Romantic Beauty” is a hybrid of “Sunshine Rose” and other varieties. It belongs to European and American hybrid grapes.

“Beauty Finger” is grown by Jiahai Farm. This farm began to plant this kind of grape in 2019. Besides following the standardized local grape planting technology, the farmer Wu Qianbin has planted the grape according to national green food certification standards, so its grape is often in short supply.

Planting diversified grapes is the trend of future consumer markets. While widely using rural major agricultural new technologies, new products and new equipment, this county has actively introduced new grape varieties, established two excellent grape seed gardens, recorded years’ planting and management experiences of new grape varieties to master their characteristics and quality, summarize the main points of management technologies and choose the best to reduce grape planters’ risks. Now the county has introduced dozens of new grape varieties such as “Queen Nina” and “Black Emperor” for experimental planting and has made a number of evaluations and comparisons to provide more choices for grape planters to reduce market risks and increase their incomes.
