Baibu is an ideal place where people live and work happily. With 7,000-year-history Majiabang culture, Baibu is a culture center where a thousand-year-old painted pottery and an jade back ivory comb of the period of Songze Culture (about 5,300-6,000 years from now) were first unearthed in China. It is a happy city with well integrated industrial and urban development, various convenient culture and tourism facilities, a 3A scenic spot and an industrial tourism demonstration spot (Grammy). Beautiful countryside, rivers, lakes, factories and fields make the town full of vitality. With a developed transportation network, Baibu is an innovative town. Located in the center of the city cluster of the Yangtze River Delta, it is about 100 kilometers away from Shanghai, Hangzhou, Suzhou and Ningbo and about a one-hour drive from Baibu to them. It boasts a developed water and land transportation network with Jiaxing-Shaoxing Expressway, National Highway No. 524, and provincial-level Hangzhou-Pinghu-Shanghai Waterway going through the town. As one of the youngest provincial-level economic development zones in Zhejiang, Baibu now has such characteristic industries as intelligent integrated home decoration, equipment manufacturing and new textile materials. As the original industrial base of China’s integrated ceilings, it has been honored as “No.1 Town of China’s Integrated Ceilings”. In the future, this town will continue efforts to extend and supplement the chain of the smart characteristic home decoration industry, give play to the role of industrial characteristics, upgrade “sweet potato economy”(“Sweet potato economy” means enterprises’ markets and resources are both outside Zhejiang, which encourages enterprises like plants to make their “vines” grow in all directions, but their “roots” are still in Zhejiang.) and develop other industries in addition to thriving integrated ceiling industry. |
