Have you ever seen “trees” growing on the tidal flat? Recently, near the tidal flat on the east of “Security Project of Seawalls” (between Changshan to Yangliushan), “tidal trees”, a magical painting of nature, was found.

The “tidal tree” is not the name of a real tree. It is called “tree of life” by netizens for it is a beautiful scene created by the tide.

From the sky, the “tidal trees” look like real towering trees and swimming dragons winding on the tidal flats. The “tidal trees” provide nutrients, food and shelters for organisms, so they are conducive to biodiversity.

It is known that the “tidal trees” are sedimentary landform made by the turn of the tide, so they are a natural phenomenon. The bottom of the estuary is a place to form most possibly such a spectacle for there are thick silts and some sands and gravels.
