The 5th China International Import Expo (CIIE) opened at the National Convention and Exhibition Center (Shanghai) from November 5, 2022 and lasted until November 10, 2022. At the CIIE, a number of Haiyan’s featured products were exhibited involving machinery, energy, equipment manufacturing, etc. At this world-class platform to showcase new products, technologies and services, the products characteristic of Haiyan have attracted much attention of a large number of domestic and international visitors.

As one of the largest multinational industrial manufacturing companies of Denmark, Danfoss Group takes the lead in refrigeration, heating, water treatment and transmission control manufacturing industry in the world. In 2005, the projects of Danfoss began to settle in Haiyan, and up to now its eight projects have been attracted to Haiyan such as Holip Electronics. At the CIIE this year, its flagship products were exhibited to support China’s green and high-quality development.

The CIIE this year is featured by the exhibition of the products reflecting green, environmentally friendly and sustainable development. Many overseas exhibitors provides their green innovative technologies and zero-carbon solutions. As one of the world’s largest suppliers of hydrogen and producers of liquid hydrogen, AirProducts of the USA is constructing the first large-scale commercial liquid hydrogen plant in China in Economic Development Zone of Haiyan, and this plant is expected to operate in the first quarter of 2023.

During the period of the CIIE, China National Nuclear Corporation (CNNC) held a forum with the theme of “Atoms for Future” at the National Convention and Exhibition Center (Shanghai) and signed procurement contracts with cooperation partners. Zero-carbon Future City was presented at the CIIE to provide “China Solutions” and “CNNC Solutions” for global energy supplies and environmental protection. With an area of 30 square kilometers, Zero-carbon Future City will be jointly constructed by Haiyan County and Qinshan Nuclear Power Plant. Made up of a zero-carbon industrial zone in the north, a future science education zone in the south and the upgraded Nuclear Power Town, it will be built into a future city able to promote zero-carbon development and economic development and enhance Haiyan’s urban charm.

As a comprehensive enterprise engaged in trade, production and sales, YATO of Poland has become a famous supplier of hand-operated tools, electric tools, air tools and sanitary wares of the European market. In Economic Development Zone of Haiyan, this company has established a plant for storage, offices and sample displays and a project able to produce 260,000 sets of tool kits and 300,000 electric tools every year. At the Technical Equipment Exhibition Zone of this CIIE, its hand-operated tools and electric tools drew much attention such as wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers, electric hammers and angle grinders.

It is reported that 145 countries, regions and international organizations attended the 5th CIIE; the enterprises of 127 countries and regions attended Business Show; 66 countries and three international organizations attended National Comprehensive Show; and 284 enterprises of Fortune 500 and leading enterprises of an industry attended Enterprise Show.
