Based on provincial and municipal requirements and local situations, Haiyan, a county of Zhejiang, has intensified efforts to strengthen its top six competitive industrial chains with local characteristics: the industrial chains of top-end fasteners, top-end equipment manufacturing, intelligent integrated home decoration, nuclear power-related industries & the application of nuclear technologies, new-type display technologies & electronic information technologies, and new energies & materials, appointed a head responsible for the development of each industrial chain, actively implemented the industrial chain upgrading project “6100” and the working mode featured by “one group of leading enterprises, one service complex for industrial innovation, one research institute, one industrial fund, one service team and one industrial agglomeration area”, inspired those six industrial chains to cooperate closely with each other, invested at least 10 billion yuan into each industrial chain, stabilized and extended the industrial chains and strengthened the weak points of each industrial chain and removed the barriers preventing the industrial development to build advanced manufacturing industrial clusters. The total output value of the above-the-designed-size enterprises of those industrial chains reached 100 billion yuan in 2021 and will exceed 150 billion yuan by 2025, and their tax revenue will exceed 10 billion yuan, the R&D intensity 6%, and the listed companies of those six industries will total eight by 2025.
