Haiyan witnessed the opening of China·Haiyan South-north Lake Culture Tourism Festival 2022 & the 5th International Economy and Trade Fair of Haiyan several days ago.

Themed by “Fulfilling Dreams in Constructing Greater Bay Area”, the tourism festival this year fell into nine parts of three chapters “Thriving Industries”, “Prosperous Cultures” and “Happy Life”. Made up of the Evening Party of the Opening Ceremony of the Tourism Festival, the 5th International Economy and Trade Fair of Haiyan & Forum of the Hydrogen Energy Industry Development, and Fashion Culture Festival of Haiyan, the first chapter fully showcased Haiyan’s social and economic development achievements. Consisting of the 7th “Sanmao Cup” China Cartoon Exhibition, a series of activities in memory of the 155th anniversary of the birth of Mr. Zhang Yuanji and the activities of Shaoxing Wine Making Festival, the second chapter aims to present Haiyan’s characteristics of the picturesque south of the Yangtze River Delta and charming Zhejiang Province through tapping local cultural and historical resources. The third chapter was made up of Ideal Life Festival of South-north Lake, Autumn Hiking Meeting of South-north Lake 2022 and the Sixth Future-Oriented Netizen Culture Festival of Haiyan 2022, aiming to demonstrate local happy life and confident culture value.

After a brief introduction of Haiyan to experts, scholars, business representatives and local representatives, Wang Suishe, secretary of the CPC Haiyan County Party Committee, said that Haiyan, a county with a history of more than 1,000 years, is releasing endless development vitality in response to the integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta and the southbound expansion of Hongqiao International Open Hub after years’ effort. With the rapid construction of two railways, two express ways, High-speed Railway Station-centered New City and Future City of South-north Lake, the county has achieved vigorous development in terms of emerging industries such as nuclear technology application, new energies, new materials and high-end equipment manufacturing. As the “the first Hangzhou Bay city facing the sea, Haiyan enjoys a promising future. In the years ahead, the county will, as always, provide all-round and whole-process quality services for enterprises and projects with its greatest enthusiasm, best environment and highest efficiency so that entrepreneurs can make investment and development at ease and realize their dreams in Haiyan.

At the Economy and Trade Fair, a grand signing ceremony of projects was held and 20 projects were signed involving high-end equipment manufacturing, new energies, new materials, hydrogen equipment manufacturing, smart supply chains, bio-medicine, etc. Besides, the development of hydrogen energy industries was introduced and some experts and managers of enterprises were invited to deliver keynote speeches on it.

Scenic Area of South-north Lake now is endeavoring to be built into a national 5A scenic area. Founded in 1996, the South-north Lake Culture and Tourism Festival has had a history of 25 years and now it has become an important window to show local natural and cultural landscapes and an important economy and trade platform of the Yangtze River Delta, and has played a positive role in enhancing the popularity and reputation of Haiyan.
