Friendly exchanges between Haiyan and Mulazzo

During the period when Children’s Book Fair in Bologna was organized in 2018, the organizer awarded Mr. Zhang Leping a “Special Contribution Award”, which was the first time for the award to be given to a deceased cartoonist. Claudio Novoa, mayor of Mulazzo, presented the certificate of the award to Mr. Zhang Weijun, Zhang Leping’s son, and exhibited Zhang Leping’s works in Mulazzo. With the help of Zhang Weijun, Claudio Novoa expressed his wishes for in-depth cooperation with Haiyan. On November 12-13, 2019, Claudio Novoa went to Haiyan with a delegation of seven members for a friendly visit. Two parties signed a memorandum of understanding and Haiyan then was twinned with Mulazzo. On March 9, 2020, Haiyan donated 6,000 disposable medical masks to Murazo for covid-19 prevention. On March 17, Claudio Novoa wrote to express his appreciation for Haiyan’s donation.
