During the holiday of the National Day of 2019, a platform was set up on the Butterfly Island of the South-North Lake for two art performances every day like choruses, local operas, dancing and magic shows. From the island in the South-North Lake to the beautiful Qiyuan Garden, cultural performances could be enjoyed. While tasting fragrant tea and watching opera performances, tourists can also enjoy charming scenes of the garden. It is said that such activities were organized in the Qiyuan Garden as tasting tea, watching operas, DIY, etc. All were loved by tourists and citizens.

During the holiday of the national day, the South-North Lake Scenic Area launched the campaign “My Motherland and I” with theme of red culture. Lots of tourists were came to the scenic area due to red cultures for photos taking and entertainment. On the site of the Haibei Detachment of the New Fourth Army, before the Jingshan Monument to Martyrs, and in the Exhibition Room for Bu Xinsheng’s Reform, numerous tourists listened attentively to the explanations of guides. They came here to review revolutionary history and receive revolutionary education. During the seven-day holiday, the tourists to the South-North Lake Scenic Area were up to 224,600, up 42.05% year on year. With the operation of the Pig Life Sci-Tech Museum, many children accompanied by parents came to the Pig Planet Paradise to learn the knowledge about pigs. They were happy to watch the performances of piglets, learn to draw piggy banks, roast sausages etc. All had a happy holiday with their parents.

Many villages such as Fengyi, Jinxing, etc. designed a series of activities to embrace this holiday of the national day and quite a few tourists came here for sightseeing. Themed by foods, games, children and countryside, Fengyi launched the food festival, qipao show, canoe and kayak contest, farmer’s picture exhibition and art performance, at which tourists were extremely satisfied. In Jinxing, a parent-child carnival was held, and various activities were arranged for children and their parents who were reminded of their happy childhood. The cheerful laughter echoed here and there. Jinxing, a Grad 2A scenic area, built scenic spots like the lotus pavilion, lounge decorated with pictures, grand lawn and camphor tree park. Its infrastructure has been further improved and idyllic scenery was more attractive.
