As a typical southern ancient garden, it is characterised by its tranqulity and exquisite carving.With mixed pavilions, lofty hills and stones,lash green trees, and ponds with ripples,the garden,though small, shows the features of a large one of its kind, mirrors the unique art style of southern gardens in the Qing Dynasty(1636-1911) and deserves a top-quality Chinese garden.It has become a tourist attraction for domestic and foreign tourists and is classified as one of the "top ten famous gardens in China" and a national heritage conservation unit.
