It is named after the magistrate, Baogong who had an embankment built here in 1770. It divides the lake into two,i.e. the South Lake and the North Lake. Walking on the dike, there seems a feeling walking in the center of the Lake.The embankment is picturesque all the year round with peach flower and green willow in spring, lotus fragrance in the summer, dark blue reeds in the autumn and snow lying on it in the winter. That is why tourists are attracted here.
